Jo Mondy started hooping in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and her love of the hoop encouraged her to pack in her day job, get her hoop teacher training certification and start her company Live Love Hoop. Since moving to the UK in 2010, she has built a strong and vibrant local hoop community in Brighton, England and has taught hundreds of students how to get into the spin. She also runs a successful hoop teacher training program inspiring hoopers from the UK and Europe to set up their own hoop businesses.
She is at the forefront of the UK and international hoop scene, teaching at Hoop Camp Retreat California, UK Hoop Gathering, German Hoop Convention, Swiss Hoop Convention, Spanish Hoop Holiday, Manchester Hoop Congress and other specialised workshops around the world. She also teaches online via popular Youtube tutorials. Jo is also an established performer, who has entertained crowds in the UK, Australia, US and Europe at festivals, clubs, weddings, corporate events and private parties.
Andy Broughton (Andy Spin) started hooping in 2011 when he saw Jo Mondy hooping in a field at a festival and couldn’t take his eyes off her.
After attending hundreds of hours of classes both locally in Brighton and around the UK, Europe and America and being inspired by the top hoopers in the world, his skills quickly progressed and he began teaching successful classes and workshops in partnership with Jo. He has also choreographed and performed many hoop shows including the first ever hula hoop flash mob proposal!
Andy brings his northern soul inspired dance background into the hoop (jazz splits anyone?), creating a unique and fluid style punctuated by some seriously tricky tricks.
